The board of New Canadian Community Centre is going to hold the 14th Annual General Meeting on Sunday, October 4th, 2015
at 7100 Warden Ave., Unit 1A, Markham, Ontario L3R 8B5.
The meeting will start at 10:30am in the morning.
By then, we’ll discuss about the work reports, financial reports and related changes to By-Law.
Moreover, new board members will be supplemented in the meeting.

This spectacular launch of the Slavic Celebration has it all: Tchaikovsky’s thunderous march based on Serbian folk tunes, the wit of a satirical Prokofiev film score, and the barbaric splendour of Janáček’s unconventional Mass setting, sung in a medieval Slavic language. Teng Li, the TSO’s Principal Viola, also performs a stunning work by contemporary Czech composer Krystof Maratka. Intermission Chat in the lobby.

Slavic composers are featured in this concert, which cumulates in the blazing suite from Stravinsky’s The Firebird.

This Casual Concert is performed without an intermission and is followed by a party for the whole audience in the lobby. Mingle with TSO musicians and guest artists in a relaxed setting and enjoy live music by local bands.

Frédéric Chopin’s lyrical Concerto No. 2 is paired with two postcards from Eastern Europe: Smetana’s glowing portrait of his Czech homeland’s principal river, and Janáček’s fiery rhapsody chronicling the turbulent life of a seventeenth-century Ukrainian Cossack leader. Intermission Chat in the lobby.
